Montville, Connecticut – Greyshore Properties is proud to announce a partnership with the Town of Montville, Connecticut, for the redevelopment of the former Bridge Street Mill, also known as the historic Palmer Brothers Mill, situated in the Palmertown section of Montville. Originally constructed in the 1800s, this landmark industrial property has remained vacant for nearly a decade.
The redevelopment of the Bridge Street Mill represents a major step forward in revitalising a long-underutilised site while supporting the continued growth and vitality of the Town of Montville. The project will transform the historic mill into a productive, community-oriented development that aligns with the Town’s long-term housing and economic development goals.
A key component of the redevelopment plan is the creation of a minimum of 52 housing units, helping to address a critical local housing need and attract new residents to the area. In addition to expanding housing opportunities, the project is expected to strengthen Montville’s economic health by increasing residential density, supporting nearby businesses, and reactivating a prominent historic asset.
The redevelopment is envisioned as a thoughtful adaptive reuse project that balances the preservation of the mill’s historic character with modern construction standards and sustainable design practices.
